The idea for this jam was born out of Game Night! 2 couples who we are friends with and all our kids get together and play games. Girls against the guys of course! This month it's our first time to host and I love to entertain! I saw brie and some gorgeous fresh figs and thought, I can make a jam and cover the brie!
12 ripe fresh figs, tops cut off and cut into quarters
2 lemons
3/4 cup Balsamic Vinegar
3 cups granulated sugar
I cooked this on medium for an hour, the key is to stir frequently because you don't want to burn your jam, but you do want it to thicken!
When cooled, since I haven't taught myself to can yet (that will come soon!) I did store this in a canning jar in the fridge. I'm planning on using it in a week. It may go before then!
